Relating to others

Ever put yourself in the shoes of others?

Some always do - thoughtful & caring.
Some never - selfish & stupid

My imagination went wild one day, and i put myself into the shoes of three people. I felt an uncountable number of emotions. From sad to happy, fustrated to carefree, and anxious to resignation. I realised how different ones life can be as compared to the person sitting next to them on the bus. When you stand in the train, have you ever thought that the person opposite may be dressed full of life but their soul has already been lost?
I feel that people naturally think too much about themselves and too little for others. A person who is standing by the edge of the roof or holding a piece of broken glass in his/her hand might be saying in the hearts, " My life is so screwed. I should just die and free everyone from the pain of dealing with me. Then everything would be alright." After that, they jump. They cut. They commit suicide.
But does the story end there? You bet it doesn't. "You are the author of your own life." The book stays open. Words are still being written. No longer by them, but by the people around them. You see, when you leave Earth, when you rejoin our dear heavenly father up there, people still down here gets whatever you leave behind. Selfish, stupid people just dump all the crap and go. Just like that. And you know who cleans it up. Selfish not to think about how others will feel when they're gone. Stupid to think that it's all going to be okay once they die.
On the contrary... People who live life to the fullest of it, people who know when it's time to go they still want to make plans to help others with whatever's coming next, these are the people who really care. Life is so unpredictable, dangerous, painful, adventurous. LIFE IS EVERYTHING. AND, IT'LL NEVER BE PERFECT.
So next time you complain about how your life sucks, think about them hearing your "horrible" life story. You'll never know.
Maybe theirs sucks even more?
